The history of Radha Rani Temple Barsana is that this temple was built around 5000 years ago by King Vajranabh, the grandson of Lord Shri Krishna, but later it is said that this temple was completely ruined, the idols of which were later discovered by Narayan Bhat.

Later this temple was built by Raja Veer Singh Deo in 1675, the structure of the temple was built by Narayan Bhatt with the help of Raja Todarmal during the reign of Akbar and this temple is built with red or yellow stone, today this magnificent temple is situated on a hill about 250 feet high.

The hill is known as Bhanugarh Brahamanchal and is named after Shri Radha Rani’s father Vrishbhanu, Vrishbhanu lived here in Barsana and was very close to Nanda Baba and was prominent in the Rawal region.

To have darshan of Radharani, one has to climb a flight of stairs and then one can have darshan of Ladli ji. To reach the temple, one has to climb around 200 stairs. Currently, a lift is available to have darshan in the temple. Those devotees who cannot climb the stairs can go to the temple for darshan through the lift.

Apart from this, if you go by your personal vehicle like motorcycle or car then you can go directly to the top of the temple, then you will not have to climb the stairs and will directly reach the king’s temple i.e. Man Mandir from where you can go to Radha Rani Temple in Barsana.

Radharani Temple Barsana is open for devotees from 8 am to 1:30 pm and from 4:30 pm to 9 pm.
